 it is not only important to prepare and protect yourself, your employees, =
and business records and property, but it is also critical to have the esse=
ntial information and documents you may need when applying for state or fed=
eral disaster assistance.=20

 When applying for state and federal business disaster loans, customary inf=
ormation needed includes:=20

 the business' physical address=20
 tax identification numbers=20
 legal structure or incorporation papers=20
 name, social security number, contact information and percentage of owners=
hip for each owner; and=20
 list of business key creditors and vendors=20

 Customary documentation needed includes:=20

 personal tax returns for each owner=20
 employee verification documentation (e.g. IRS Form 941, W-3s, W-2s)=20

at the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Disaster Assistance c=
oncerning the establishment of Business Recovery Centers (BRCs) in adversel=
y impacted communities. BRCs are separate locations (or at least dedicated =
locations) from FEMA-established DRCs. BRCs offer small business owners dir=
ect access to dedicated business disaster specialists from both the SBA and=
 Florida SBDC, who provide personalized, one-on-one disaster loan assistanc=
e.=20

 We have also been working with our state agency partners at the Florida De=
partment of Economic Opportunity regarding the possible activation of the F=
lorida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan program. The bridge loan progra=
m offers short-term, state-funded interest-free loans intended to provide q=
uick, vital capital to help business owners =E2=80=9Cbridge the gap" betwee=
n the time of disaster and when the business secures long-term assistance, =
